For example, a customer receives an SMS supposedly from the State Police about an unpaid fine. The link in the message is fraudulent. The customer clicks it and enters bank details – the payment goes to the fraudsters, and they also gain access to the customer’s card information.

For example, a customer unknowingly enters their payment card details on a fraudulent website. The fraudsters use this information to make purchases with the customer’s money or transfer all funds to their own accounts.

For example, a customer shops at an online store and pays for a product. Later, it turns out that the store was set up by fraudsters, and the customer paid for an item they will never receive.

For example, a post appears on social media asking for donations for a person in distress. The customer makes a transfer, and it later turns out that the donations were collected by fraudsters.

For example, fraudsters call, pretending to be bank employees, and offer a profitable investment in stocks. The customer agrees and makes a transfer, which turns out to be fraudulent.

For example, fraudsters gain access to a customer’s “WhatsApp” profile and start messaging their relatives, pretending to be the customer and asking to borrow money.

For example, a customer is targeted online with deliberate ridicule and threatening or offensive behavior, significantly affecting their emotional well-being.
