If your vehicle has been involved in an accident, you will always receive compensation from the MTPL insurer of the party at fault. However, an incorrectly filled-in European Accident Statement may delay the payment of the insurance proceeds. If you have any questions, we recommend that you contact BALTA’s specialists or call the police. Remember that the European Accident Statement procedure applies to accidents involving two vehicles with no casualties, no damage to the property of third parties and if it is provided by the regulatory enactments of the respective Green Card system member country.

Yes, you can call the BALTA claims centre at +371 67533375 to get assistance filling in the European Accident Statement.

To avoid such situations, drivers traveling to any Green Card system member country should carry the Green Card policy original.

The BALTA MTPL Green Card is valid in the countries specified in the insurance contract. The Green Card policy can be purchased for trips to the following countries: Albania, Azerbaijan, Morocco, Moldova, North Macedonia, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine.
