Guarantees
Guarantee insurance is used when the client requires the contractor to provide financial guarantees that the contractual works will be completed with appropriate quality, within the agreed scope, and on time. There are several types of construction guarantees: bid bonds, advance payment guarantees, performance guarantees, and warranty period guarantees.
In Latvia, clients engaged in public procurement have the right to require financial guarantees or securities from contractors.
